Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Nauchi Bulgarian app ("Nauchi", "the app") collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it. If you have questions, email neokrassimir@gmail.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information
To create an account you sign in with an email address and password, or with Google. We collect:
- your email address;
- your name (the name you enter, or the name on your Google account);
- an account ID that identifies your account in our database.
Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never stored in readable form.
Learning activity
To save your progress and keep it in sync across devices, we store:
- lessons you have started and completed, and your scores;
- your answers to exercises;
- words you choose to save;
- your app settings, such as learning pace and experience level.
Text you send to the grammar assistant
When you use the grammar chat, the sentence or question you type is sent to an AI service to generate an explanation (see section 3). Please don't type personal information into the grammar chat.
Microphone
Speaking exercises use your microphone so you can record yourself and play the recording back. Recordings stay on your device. They are not uploaded to us or anyone else. You can deny microphone access and still use the rest of the app.
What we do not collect
Nauchi does not show ads, does not use advertising or analytics trackers, does not collect your location, contacts or photos, and does not sell your information.
2. How we use your information
- to create and secure your account and let you sign in;
- to save your progress, streaks, saved words and settings;
- to generate grammar explanations when you ask for them;
- to keep the app working and fix problems.
3. Service providers
We use these providers to run the app. They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes:
- Supabase: account sign-in and the database that stores your account and learning activity.
- Google: only if you choose "Sign in with Google".
- OpenRouter, which routes requests to OpenAI: receives the text you send to the grammar assistant and returns an explanation.
We do not share your information with anyone else, except where required by law.
4. Security
All information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to the database is restricted so each account can only read its own data.
5. Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and learning activity for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time:
- In the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and your progress, saved words, settings and exercise history.
- Without the app: follow the steps on our account deletion page.
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
6. Children
Nauchi is intended for people aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information at any time by emailing neokrassimir@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law; we will honour them.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
